Best AI SDR Tools in 2026, Compared
Of the AI SDR tools on the market in 2026, the best for most teams is one that drafts and sends for you but lets a human approve messages on accounts that matter. Jason AI by Reply.io and Amplemarket's Duo are the safest picks for that. AiSDR and Artisan suit teams that want more autonomy at a predictable plan size, and Qualified's Piper is the pick for inbound. If you already run Clay, a DIY stack with a cheap sequencer often beats all of them on cost and control.
This is a research roundup, not a hands-on test. Every price and capability below comes from vendor pages and press coverage we opened on 10 October 2026, listed in the sources at the end.
What does an AI SDR tool actually do?
An AI SDR tool finds prospects, researches them, writes outreach, sends it across one or more channels, handles replies and books meetings. The tools differ mainly in how much of that loop they run without a person and which channels they cover.
If you want the longer definition, the job breakdown and where a human still fits, start with our guide to what an AI SDR is. This page is the buying guide.
Three groups exist in 2026:
- Autonomous "digital workers" that run the full outbound loop: 11x Alice, Artisan Ava, AiSDR.
- Copilots inside a sales platform that draft and queue work for a rep: Amplemarket Duo, Apollo, Regie.ai, Unify, Outreach.
- Specialists, such as Qualified Piper for inbound website and email leads.

How we chose and what we checked
We picked tools that buyers searching for AI SDR software actually shortlist, then checked four things for each one.
- That the product is live and sold under the same name in October 2026, including ownership changes.
- What the vendor says the agent does on its own versus what it hands to a rep.
- Which channels it sends on.
- Whether pricing is published, and what the entry plan costs.
We did not run these tools ourselves. Where Drevon has published hands-on tests of adjacent GTM tools, they are in our AI GTM tools we tested roundup.
The best AI SDR tools, reviewed
1. Jason AI by Reply.io: best default for teams that want approvals
Jason AI is the easiest autonomous SDR to run with a human checkpoint. Reply.io's product page describes an approval mode where you "approve each message before it goes out," and Jason drafts an AI reply for your approval when prospects respond.
It researches each prospect across LinkedIn, company websites and other sources, then runs sequences that mix email, LinkedIn and calls. It draws on a database Reply.io puts at more than 1 billion contacts. Pricing starts at $500 a month as of October 2026.
Honest limits: the product page frames email as the main channel, with LinkedIn and calls layered on. The page lists the starting price but not the contact volume it covers, so get that in writing before you sign.
2. Amplemarket Duo: best for reps who want signals plus drafts
Amplemarket's Duo Copilot is the strongest pick when your reps should stay in control of every send. Duo scans your market daily for buying signals such as job changes, closed-lost reactivation, competitor reviews and community activity, then drafts a multichannel sequence for each person.
Amplemarket calls this "human in the loop by design." The rep reviews the contact and signal, edits the sequence, then hits send or dismisses it, and Duo learns from those choices.
Honest limits: the Startup plan is $600 a month on an annual term with 2 users. Duo Voice and Duo Inbox sit on the Growth and Elite plans, which are custom priced.
3. AiSDR: best published pricing for a near-autonomous SDR
AiSDR is the most transparent autonomous option on price. As of October 2026, Solo costs $250 a month for 200 AI-researched contacts, Explore costs $900 a month for 800, and Scale costs $2,500 a month for 2,500. All plans include email sequences, LinkedIn automation, warmup and a HubSpot integration.
Its agent, Ami, generates the strategy and campaigns. You review and edit before launch.
Honest limits: approval happens at the campaign level, not message by message. The contact caps are tight at the low end, and Explore and Scale require quarterly contracts.
4. Artisan (Ava): best for teams that want autonomy with guardrails
Artisan's Ava runs the full outbound loop and gives you more guardrails than most autonomous agents. Artisan says Ava handles "finding and enriching B2B leads, writing and sending personalized outreach, handling replies, and booking meetings." Its pricing page says you can approve before sending, lock tone and CTAs, set banned phrases and define when a human steps in.
Honest limits: Artisan does not publish prices. Its pricing page describes credit-based tiers scoped to lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats, then asks you to talk to sales. TechCrunch reported in January 2026 that LinkedIn banned Artisan around 19 December 2025 over use of LinkedIn's name on its site and data from vendors that scraped LinkedIn. Artisan was reinstated after about two weeks once it removed LinkedIn mentions and tightened vendor checks. Ask any vendor where its contact data comes from.
5. 11x (Alice): most channels, most caution
11x's Alice covers the widest set of channels on this list: email, phone, chat, LinkedIn, SMS and WhatsApp. It reads replies, classifies intent and books meetings, and 11x markets it as running "without human intervention." The company also sells Julian, an AI phone agent for inbound calls.
Honest limits: in March 2025, TechCrunch reported that 11x had listed ZoomInfo and Airtable as customers after trials that did not convert, and former employees described heavy early churn. 11x attributed the logo issues to "human error" and said retention had improved. In May 2025, founder Hasan Sukkar stepped down as CEO and CTO Prabhav Jain took over. 11x publishes no pricing, and its public pages describe no send-approval step. Ask for references you can call yourself and a short break clause.
6. Qualified Piper: best for inbound, now owned by Salesforce
Piper is the AI SDR to pick if your pipeline starts on your website. It talks to visitors in text, voice or video, works inbound email leads, qualifies buyers and books meetings on the right seller's calendar.
The ownership changed this year. Salesforce agreed to acquire Qualified in 2025, and its July 2026 quarterly filing says the deal closed in April 2026 for consideration valued at $1.2 billion. Salesforce says Piper now works inside its own CRM and sales workflows.
Honest limits: Piper is not an outbound prospector. All three plans (Premier, Enterprise, Ultimate) are custom priced, and agent handoff, MCP and API access start at Enterprise. Teams not on Salesforce should ask how the roadmap affects other CRMs.
7. Apollo: best if you already pay for Apollo
Apollo is the cheapest way to add AI SDR features to a database you may already use. Its AI pulls lead lists from plain-language prompts, researches leads with live web data, writes full or partial emails, and triggers follow-ups based on prospect behavior. Apollo describes a choice to "take the wheel" or "let it run on autopilot."
As of October 2026, Apollo's pricing page lists Basic at $49 and Professional at $99 per user per month, with a free plan and custom enterprise pricing.
Honest limits: Apollo says the Professional plan is where AI features come in, and every user on an account must be on the same plan. Its AI page lists email and phone as the engagement channels.
8. Unify: best low-cost entry for signal-based outbound
Unify suits small teams that want signal-triggered outbound without a big contract. It combines list building, enrichment from 40+ data sources, AI email copy and multichannel sequencing with a click-to-call dialer. Its sequencing page pitches the trade plainly: "Spend your time reviewing, not writing."
Pricing as of October 2026: Free for up to 3 seats, Base at $20 per seat, Pro at $60 per seat, Business custom. Unused credits roll over for up to 12 months on paid plans.
Honest limits: CRM sync on Pro is read-only for HubSpot and Salesforce. Phone enrichment averages about 4 credits per record, so credit math matters if you dial a lot.
9. Regie.ai: best for rep teams that dial
Regie.ai has moved toward a rep platform with agents rather than a replacement SDR. Its AI Agents handle "sourcing, ranking, call prep, and follow-ups," alongside a parallel power dialer, a built-in CRM option and coordinated email, phone and social sequences.
Pricing is published as of October 2026: a free plan, Pro at $41 a month billed annually, Team at $125 per seat per month billed annually, and custom Enterprise. Enrichment that finds nothing costs nothing.
Honest limits: credits on paid plans do not roll over. If you want an agent that sends on its own around the clock, the 11x, Artisan or AiSDR model fits better.
10. DIY: Clay plus Smartlead or Instantly
A DIY stack is the best AI SDR for teams that already have a GTM engineer. You build the research and copy in Clay, then push contacts to a dedicated sequencer that handles mailboxes and warmup.
Costs as of October 2026:
- Clay Launch from $167 a month (15,000 actions, 2,500 data credits) or Growth from $446 a month, which adds CRM auto-sync and HTTP API integrations.
- Smartlead from $39 a month for 2,000 contacts and 6,000 sends, or $174 a month for unlimited contacts and 150,000 sends.
- Instantly from $47 a month for 5,000 emails, or $97 a month for 125,000.
A working setup is Clay Launch plus Smartlead Base at roughly $206 a month before mailbox and domain costs. That is below AiSDR's entry plan and well below most custom quotes.
Honest limits: you own deliverability, prompts, QA and every broken integration. Nobody answers replies for you unless you build it.
Which AI SDR tool should you choose?
Choose by how much autonomy your market will tolerate, then by channel and price.
- If one bad email to a strategic account costs you a deal, pick a tool with per-message approval: Jason AI, Amplemarket Duo or Artisan with approvals switched on.
- If you sell high volume to SMBs and want hands-off sending, AiSDR gives you the clearest price per contact. Artisan and 11x are the alternatives, but budget for a sales-led quote.
- If your pipeline is inbound, pick Piper, especially on Salesforce.
- If you already pay for Apollo, Outreach or another engagement platform, try its built-in agent first. Outreach's AI Prospecting Agent, for example, runs in a manual mode where reps "review and hit send," or autonomously for lower-risk segments.
- If you have a GTM engineer and Clay, build the DIY stack.
Two checks apply to every option. First, ask how the vendor handles opt-outs and consent in the countries you sell to; our post on whether autonomous cold email is still allowed in 2026 covers the rules. Second, insist on a trial with a break clause. TechCrunch's December 2024 reporting quoted a CRO whose AI SDR produced a large volume of leads over nine months that "did not lead to actual sales."
Why the research layer matters more than the sender

Every tool on this list writes better emails when the input research is specific and current. Several personalize from large shared contact databases (Reply.io cites more than 1 billion contacts, Unify more than 1.1 billion), so two vendors can send near-identical openers to the same buyer.
The teams that kept their AI SDRs after the first year added a human check on research and copy, which is the pattern we traced in the AI SDR shakeout. You can also feed better inputs. Drevon reads what buyers post on LinkedIn, Reddit, job boards, Crunchbase and company sites and returns a brief where every claim links to its source, which you can export to Clay or HubSpot and pass into any of the tools above. Paid intent feeds are another input; see our comparison of intent data providers.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI SDR tool in 2026?
For most B2B teams, Jason AI or Amplemarket Duo, because both let a rep approve messages before they send. For inbound, Qualified Piper. For the lowest published price on a near-autonomous agent, AiSDR at $250 a month.
How much do AI SDR tools cost?
Published entry prices as of October 2026 run from $20 per seat (Unify Base) to $600 a month (Amplemarket Startup). 11x, Artisan and Qualified do not publish prices. A DIY Clay and Smartlead stack starts near $206 a month.
Can an AI SDR fully replace a human SDR?
Not reliably. The autonomous tools can run sequences and replies, but the public record on 11x and investor doubts about stickiness both point to the same gap: volume without conversion. Most tools on this list now offer an approval step.
Do AI SDR tools send on LinkedIn?
Some do. 11x, AiSDR and Jason AI list LinkedIn as a channel. Apollo and Unify list email and phone. LinkedIn's ban of Artisan in December 2025 is a reminder to ask how each vendor sources and uses LinkedIn data.
Is 11x still operating in 2026?
Yes. 11x still sells Alice for outbound and Julian for inbound calls, under CEO Prabhav Jain, who replaced founder Hasan Sukkar in May 2025.
